The 19th National Ssirum Contest for Grand Bull Prize took place at the national ssirum ground on Rungna Islet on September 5-6.

Twelve players selected from each province (city under the direct control of the government) decided rankings through catch-weight matches.

Divided into four groups, the participants played group league and additional matches. The winners advanced to the finals and competed on a knock-out basis.

Choe Tong Bom from North Phyongan Province won the contest.

The trophy cup, medals and diplomas were awarded to the successful players.
