CSTO censures NATO for moves to escalate tension

September 5, 2024

The joint chief of staff of the collective security treaty organization decried NATO for the moves to escalate tension in a press conference on August 29.

Saying that the acts of provocation by Ukraine in Kursk, Russia, are aggravating tension in the region under the control of the collective security treaty organization, he stated that NATO is reinforcing its forces near the border with member states of the CSTO on the pretext of coping with the “threat” from the east.

And the supply of fund and weapons to Ukraine is going on and the militarization of Poland and the Baltic States is also proceeding, he said.

He warned that the international geopolitical situation will continue to show instability due to the attempts of Western countries to maintain their domination by way of creating new tension sources.
