Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian criticized the US and West for protecting Israel in a telephone conversation with the Norwegian Prime Minister on August 29.

The US and some Western countries keep mum about the fact that Israel kills innocent people and makes bombing raids on civilian regions, he said. More intolerable is that these countries are supplying funds and weapons to Israel, he denounced.

His country plays an important role in ensuring security in the Near East and the rest of the world, he said, adding that he would continue to strive to put an end to war, violence and instability.
