Mt Suyang stands on the boundary between Haeju City and Sinwon County of South Hwanghae Province.

The scenic spot in the mountain consists of the Suyangsan Fortress connected with high and low peaks centring on Jangdae Peak, a huge valley formed as Jangdae Peak gradually gets lower to the southeast direction, cliffs, falls and forests. It unfolds a beautiful landscape, surrounded by them.

Recognized as one of the highest falls in the DPRK, Suyangsan Falls have widely been known as one of the eight scenic spots in Haeju since ancient times.

In Mt Suyang and its vicinity, there are such historical relics as Suyangsan Fortress, Jihwan and Sami pavilions, Haeju stone storehouse for ice and Haeju five-storey pagoda.

Cosy pavilions and an observation platform stand in the mountain to suit the surrounding landscape, as well as cultural recreation facilities.
