On August 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, president of Azerbaijan, signed a joint statement on further consolidating the relations between the two countries.

In addition, six agreements were concluded on cooperation in different fields including food safety, public health, science, climate change and so on.

The documents were inked during the Russian president’s visit to Azerbaijan.

On the same day, the Central Banks of China and Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the financial field including settlement of accounts by national currencies.
