A national sci-tech presentation in the field of textile industry was held through videoconferencing at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang on August 19-20 under the sponsorship of the Korean Textile Industry Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

The presentation, held on the theme of "Improving the quality of consumer goods", was aimed at widely disseminating and generalizing the scientific and technological successes and experience gained in the production of textile and knitted goods including school uniforms and bags and various kinds of essential goods, true to the decisions of the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee.

Present there were scientists, technicians and field officials from more than 20 units including the Sariwon Textile Mill, the Sinuiju Textile Mill and Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry.

Certificates were awarded to the papers highly appreciated at the presentation.
