The deputy director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry in an interview on July 31 denounced the US and Japan for their move for intensifying military alliance. 

Referring to the rapid intensification of the military alliance between Washington and Tokyo, he noted that a joint document on reorganizing the US forces in Japan into the “unified command” was released on July 28.

He asserted that both sides are preparing for a large-scale armed conflict in the Asia-Pacific on the pretext of “threat”.
