A national sci-tech presentation in the construction sector took place at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang from July 30 to August 2.

The presentation, held on the theme of "Overall prosperity of Korean-style socialism and Juche-oriented architecture", brought together officials, lecturers, researchers and designers from different units, including the State Academy of Sciences, the Pyongyang Urban Planning Institute, Pyongyang University of Architecture, Hamhung University of Hydraulic Engineering and the South Phyongan Provincial Design Institute.

Scientists and technicians in the field of construction submitted more than 160 papers to the presentation.

The event included a discussion and a question-and-answer session on the issues arising in the fields of architecture and construction engineering and new ideas and experience.

During the presentation, there were also a presentation of designing experience gained in planning the landscapes around 10 000 flats at the third stage in the Hwasong area and a video show on the trend of construction.
