Dmitri Peskov, the Russian president’s press secretary, in a press conference on July 30 said that the US assertion that his country is going to interfere in the US presidential election as groundless.

The US Republican Party or Democratic Party is abusing the factors related to Russia and its president in the course of political competition for achieving their goal, he said.

That day, the UN-based Iranian permanent mission issued a statement, in which it rejected the insistence of officials of the US intelligence agencies that Iran is going to influence the presidential election, according to the IRNA news agency.

Iran has no thought to affect the US presidential election and has never conducted such activities, the statement said, adding such arguments are part of psychological warfare designed to artificially pep up the election campaign atmosphere.
