The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement on July 14, in which it warned against Israel’s missile attacks on the country.

Criticizing Israel that day for mounting missile attacks on military targets and residential quarters in Syria, the statement said that such attacks would drive the regional situation to an uncontrollable phase.

It is a legitimate right of Syria to defend its national sovereignty and win back its occupied territories, it said, clarifying its stance to respond to Israel’s attacks.
