New houses have been built at the Nongsadong and Samjang farms in Taehongdan County, Ryanggang Province, potato-producing areas at the foot of Mt Paektu.  

Celebration meetings took place on the spot.

Present there were Ri Thae Il, chief secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials and builders of the units which contributed to the construction, and agricultural workers in those areas.

Congratulatory addresses were made and licences for the use of new houses conveyed at the meetings.

Dance parties were held amid the playing of cheerful peasants' music at the villages.

Officials and builders visited the new houses to share joy with their owners.
