Enlarged plenary meetings of the Pyongyang municipal and provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea took place from July 12 to 14 for implementing the decisions of the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.

The plenary meetings were attended by members and alternate members of the provincial Party committees. Also seen there as observers were officials of the Party and power organs, administrative and economic bodies and others in the relevant regions.

Reports were made there.

The plenary meetings analyzed and reviewed successes and experience gained and a series of deviations and lessons revealed and drawn in the course of implementing the Party's decisions in the first half of the year. The meetings also discussed the ways for successfully attaining the major goals planned for this year through a vigorous struggle in the second half of the year.

They stressed once again that success in this year's work depends entirely on the high sense of responsibility and role of the Party organizations and officials at all levels, and called on the leading Party and administrative and economic officials to make redoubled efforts to attain the goals of this year's struggle.

At the plenary meetings, the reporters stressed the need for all Party organizations and officials to courageously organize and conduct the struggle for implementing the decisions of the Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the WPK by making strenuous efforts, bearing in mind the requirements of the Korean revolution and the expectations of the people.

Speeches were made at the plenary meetings.

The plenums unanimously adopted additional decisions drafted by the participants in the uplifted spirit to reliably guarantee the implementation of the Party decisions of their regions, sectors and units with boundless devotion and strong executive ability.
