Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message from Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on July 4.

In the message, the Syrian president said that he, together with the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, was recollecting the great President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his demise.

He said that the great President had led the struggle for national liberation and the cause of building a powerful nation of the DPRK and supported and encouraged the national liberation movement and the anti-imperialist forces on a worldwide scale.

He hoped that Kim Jong Un would successfully carry out Kim Il Sung's cause and the friendly relations between the Syrian Arab Republic and the DPRK would grow stronger, wishing the DPRK greater prosperity and progress.
