There was a football contest in the DPRK.

The contest, which was held from May 5 to June 30, drew provincial teams composed of excellent players selected from regional sports clubs (including those at industrial establishments).

North Hamgyong Province and South Phyongan Province won first place in the men's and women's football matches respectively.

Trophies and medals were awarded to the successful teams and players.
