In reaction against new sanctions of the European Union, Russia expanded the list of representatives of European organizations and member states of the EU that are forbidden to enter Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced in a statement on June 24 that those that have been included in the list are representatives of armed forces organs and national and commercial organizations of the EU member states that have participated in providing military aid to Ukraine and officials of European organizations that are given to bellicose remarks against Russia.

Noting the EU keeps advocating a confrontational policy against Russia, the statement said that the unilateral restrictive measures of the EU are illegal from the viewpoint of international law. 

In the future, too, Russia will take due countermeasures against any unfriendly actions of Western countries, it emphasized.
