The Russian ambassador to the US decried the power politics of the US in an interview with American magazine Newsweek on June 18.

The US authorities are trying hard to make Europe a “backyard” without even the right to offer its own opinion, he said, asserting that the US should recognize that its attempt to force its will on all countries is in vain.

He noted that it is a burglary in daytime to use profits from Russia’s frozen overseas assets in the West for Ukraine and that the US just leads such an act.

The West schemed to prolong their bloody plan further by organizing a meeting on the Ukrainian issue in Switzerland, he said, and stressed that talks on the Ukrainian issue should be held free from the US’ great-power chauvinistic coercive policy.
