Factory pushes upgrading project in three dimensional way

May 8, 2024

An upgrading project is in full swing at the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill.

"The state took radical measures to push the project after acquainting itself in detail with the scale of the modernization of our factory, its long-term plan, supply of manpower and materials," said Kim Sung Won, manager of the mill.

According to him, the mill’s upgrading project for contributing to the development of the Juche-oriented chemical industry based on reed is a huge project whose total floor space covers hundreds of thousands of square metres, including the construction of more than 110 projects, the establishment of a paper production process with a capacity of tens of thousands of tons and the construction of the Lyocell fibre-based production process.

At present, wet works for the construction of dozens of structures have been finished and the tasks which would have been completed in several years in the past have been carried out in less than one year.

The Cabinet has dispatched competent officials to direct the project, while strengthening the ties with ministries and national agencies to guide and assist the project in a planned way.

Officials of the reconstruction command team correctly defined the direction of the main work in keeping with the progress of the project in a three-dimensional way and the mobilization of many units, manpower and vehicles, and are carrying out their tasks in a comprehensive way by concentrating its forces.

Builders are opening a shortcut to hasten the construction date as they introduce original construction methods, make new construction equipment and invent equipment and tools.

Innovation is also being created at the workplace for producing textbook paper.

Officials and workers of the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill are carrying on the technical upgrading of irrational production processes and the repair and maintenance of equipment in a qualitative way under the guidance and assistance of the Ministry of Chemical Industry.

A research team of the State Academy of Sciences has provided a sci-tech guarantee for industrializing the production of Lyocell fibre, and progress has been made in the manufacture of equipment by the Ministry of Machine-building Industry and relevant other units.
