Making selfless and devoted efforts for the good of the people is the essence and foundation of the politics of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

It means that serving the interests of the people and providing them with convenience and boundless love for and devotion to them are the starting point and basis of the Party activities.

The new century of the Juche era is the era when the potential power of the WPK’s politics with selfless and devoted service for the people as its essence and foundation has fully been demonstrated.

By thoroughly applying the people-first principle to all its work, the WPK has further cemented its ties of blood with the people and developed the single-hearted unity peculiar to the DPRK into an irresistible force.

The noble appellation “motherly Party” is the title that the people awarded to the WPK which has recorded the longest ruling history of socialism on the sacred journey consistent with devoted service for the people.

The politics of the WPK with selfless and devoted service for the people as its essence and foundation are manifested in making great and courageous decisions without hesitation to fulfil the long-cherished desires of the people and implementing them without fail.

A miracle was performed to resolve the grave situation of unexpected outbreak of an epidemic disease in the shortest possible time and new dwelling houses were splendidly built in the areas afflicted by natural disasters, and therefore the whole country resounded with hearty cheers of hurray for the Workers’ Party and socialism.

The great historic cause of legalizing the policy on the state nuclear forces was brilliantly accomplished to firmly defend the people’s destiny, and entities for them spring up one after another in the face of the worst difficulties, like the ideal streets in the capital city of Pyongyang and modern farmhouses in rural areas. The reality is the results brought about by the people-first principle.

The WPK always sets higher goals for the people and advances towards development.

The WPK’s plans and goals, the people-oriented characters and original features of its people-first politics are reflected in the successes demonstrating the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism, people-oriented policies which have constantly been enforced and further expanded even in the face of continued difficulties and gigantic projects for creation undertaken on a larger scale.

Projects are now dynamically pushed ahead in all parts of the DPRK to implement the regional development policy of the WPK.

The effort to implement the Regional Development 20x10 Policy is a great revolution to eradicate the centuries-old backwardness of regional areas within ten years, help the regional people fulfil their cherished desire and bring about a change in their cognition.

As they can enjoy a better life only when the lines and policies of the WPK are translated into reality, the Korean people remain loyal to the leadership of the Party Central Committee.

A powerful socialist country will surely be built on this land, where all dreams and ideals of the people come true, under the leadership of the WPK which has taken roots deep in the ground called the people and makes selfless, devoted efforts only for the good of them,.
