The northwestern part of the DPRK, which has been splendidly turned into the fairyland where the true nature of Korean-style socialism and its rosy future are epitomized, is enlivened with auspicious events of moving into new house. The inhabitants and schoolchildren from the flood-hit areas who stayed in Pyongyang left for their hometowns, picturing in their mind their native places that have undergone a radical change.

The days they had spent in the capital city under the highest hospitality and service were the ones in which they keenly felt the true image of the motherly Party sharing joy and sorrow with the people who suffered pain. The days were also the ones of precious experience in which they deeply cherished how the blessed life, happiness and beautiful future of the people are defended and brought into bloom.

They tearfully received the loving care of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, who provided the children with school uniforms and things and new clothes according to seasons with thoughtful mind, not satisfied with the work for children, and spent happy and pleasant days of rest at the lodgings where all conditions are fully provided, places for visit and bases for leisure activities in the capital city and scenic spots across the country. In those days, they more keenly realized that our socialist house holding Kim Jong Un in high esteem as the benevolent father is the bosom of destiny and the cradle of life.

A joint online seminar "Leader in the era of independence" and an online photo exhibition "Dedication to the building of a prosperous country" were held by Brazilian political parties and organizations on December 15 to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present there were personages of political parties and organizations, including the Brazilian Communist Party, the Brazilian Center for Peace and Solidarity with Peoples, the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics and the Brazilian Branch of the Korean Friendship Association, and members of the organization for the study of the Juche idea.

Agricultural workers at the Tokjang Farm in Jongju, North Phyongan Province, recently moved into new houses as in April.

Present at the ceremony for moving into those houses were Ryu Song Hyok, secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials of the Party and power organs, builders and working people in the city of Jongju and agricultural workers who would move into new houses.

Choe Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the North Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, made a congratulatory address. Then the licences for the use of houses were conveyed to agricultural workers and speeches made.

The Taean Heavy Machine Complex is successful in the production of custom-built equipment for major fronts of economic construction.

This year the complex finished the production of custom-built equipment, including bowl granulator, roller separator and bucket crane, needed for modernizing the production lines of the Posan Iron Works and manufactured a ladle crane to be sent to the Chollima Steel Complex and a large pressure motor needed for the readjustment and reinforcement of the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex on a high qualitative level.

It also dynamically pushed ahead with production by dint of a mass technical innovation campaign while ensuring well-knit scheduling of production processes now that the variety and output of custom-built equipment have increased considerably as compared to the previous period.

Kim Il Sung University developed basalt fibre, which is regarded as one of the world’s four fibres, along with carbon fibre, aramid fibre and polyethylene fibre.

The basalt fibre, developed by researchers of the resources science faculty, is a natural mineral fibre made from basalt abundant in the country as a raw material by using a high-temperature fusion tension technique.

“Basalt fibre has tensile strength of 2.9-3.9GPa which is stronger than that of glass fibre, and is excellent in mechanical properties, acid resistance, alkali resistance, insulation property, water resistance, adiabaticity and sound insulativity, so it can substitute completely for glass fibre reinforced material and partially for carbon fibre reinforced material and costs considerably low. Therefore, basalt fibre and composites are very likely to be used in various fields of the national economy including road, construction, automobile, ship building, chemical industry and the aerospace industry,” said Ri Tok Sung, PhD.

The structures built in the Hwasong area according to the grandiose plan of the Workers' Party of Korea to turn the area of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, into the centre of socialist civilization are model edifices representing the times.

The creations showing marked changes in the light of street architectural formation, shape of the buildings and architectural techniques are also architectural masterpieces representing the times.

The DPRK-Russia friendly relations, which have steadily developed decade after decade and from one century to the next with long historical roots, are to mark an important watershed in their history.

Comprehensive strategic partnership

The blessed areas of Jagang and Ryanggang provinces in the DPRK, which have changed splendidly thanks to the wise leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, are full of great joy of the people.

Socialist modern villages have mushroomed in a little over three months. This eye-opening change is the precious fruit of the great love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the people and his tireless efforts.

Bearing in mind the devoted efforts of Kim Jong Un, the builders, including the members of the regiments of Party members from Pyongyang Municipality and all the provinces, built thousands of modern farmhouses in the flood-hit areas near the northern border of the country.

The Korean-style energy-saving oxygen blast furnace has successfully been built at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.

Last year this new-type metallurgical furnace was built at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, which has completely shaken off the fetters of cokes by establishing the system of producing iron with local efforts, technology, raw materials and fuel 100 percent, and then such a furnace has been built at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex. As a result, a comprehensive system of making Juche iron has been established at the leading iron production bases, the country’s iron-making industry has been put on a sure upturn stage of Juche orientation, and the independent foundations for national economic development has been further consolidated.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made sure that bold, development-oriented and realistic targets were set to put the metallurgical industry on a Juche basis. He set forth the tasks of building more new-type oxygen blast furnaces at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and increasing their production capacity, wisely led the work and opened up a broad avenue for completing the system of making Juche iron.
