The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received congratulatory messages and letters from different countries on the occasion of the New Year 2025.

They came from the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), the chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (United Socialism), the chairman of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party, the general secretary of the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran, the general chairman and secretary general of the National Leadership Council of the Party for Rural Rehabilitation Movement of Indonesia, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the All-India Progressive Front, the chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania, the chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party (Romania), the chairman of the Workers' Party of Hungary, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia, the general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy, the national chairman of the People’s Progressive Party of Nigeria, the general secretary of the Communist Party of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the national leader of the Workers' Party of Mexico, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the People’s Socialist Party of Mexico, the secretary general and the national political secretary of the People’s Front of the Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru. 

They were also sent by the director of the International Department of the Socialist Workers' Party of Croatia, the vice-chairman of the Liberal Socialists’ Party of Egypt, the president of the International Group of Italy, the director general of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the secretary general, director general and vice-director general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, the vice-director general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea, the director general and secretary general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, the head of the Orchestra of the 21st Century of Russia and other important personages of the political, public and economic circles of many countries, including China, Russia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Singapore, Thailand, Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, India, Japan, Belarus, Sweden, France, Poland, Serbia, the UK, Austria, Italy, Spain, Guinea, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, New Zealand and Australia, and representatives of the Juche idea study groups and resident missions of international organizations in the DPRK.

Today, young people of the DPRK significantly celebrate the 79th founding anniversary of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.

The SPYL is the only and popular youth organization of the young Koreans who carry forward and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered and led by President Kim Il Sung.

General Kim Il Sung established the tradition of the Korean youth movement in the flames of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and founded a Juche-oriented youth organization on January 17 1946 to rally young people of all social strata under the banner of democracy immediately after the liberation of Korea.

There are many monumental structures and industrial establishments whose names include the appellation youth in the DPRK.

It is because the young people have left an indelible imprint on the prosperity and development of the country.

The nearly 80-year history of the DPRK and the history of the Workers’ Party of Korea which has consistently maintained the idea of attaching importance to the youth include the proud history of the struggle of young people who dedicated their youth to the country and the people.

Last year, too, young people across the country volunteered to work on the major fronts of socialist construction.

Those in South Hwanghae Province offered to work at the socialist countryside with high enthusiasm for making a breakthrough in the van of the implementation of the rural revolution programme in the new era.

Those in North Hamgyong Province and Taean District of Nampho Municipality volunteered to work at metallurgical and machine-building industry factories and enterprises with a determination to play a big role in the struggle to secure a definite practical guarantee for carrying out the five-year plan in the Chollima spirit in the new era.

As the news about young volunteers continues to be reported from across the country, young people in South Hamgyong Province have also offered to work at the major sectors of socialist construction.

Those in the city of Sinpho volunteered for the Sinpho City Offshore Farm.

Youth league members in the cities of Hamhung and Tanchon and the counties of Sinhung, Pukchong and Yonggwang decided to work at the raw materials bases of regional-industry factories, coal mines and construction brigades.

The factories and enterprises of the chemical industry sector are channelling efforts into reenergizing production and into readjustment and reinforcement projects.

The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex operates all machines as required by standard regulations to produce a large amount of fertilizer while increasing production by reducing the operating cycle of gas generators and finding out effective ways to boost their efficiency. 

The workers of the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex produce remarkable results by observing the mixing ratio of raw materials and conducting the cyclic check and inspection during recess in a responsible manner.

It is every citizen’s responsibility to make their country prosperous.

The dream of a most powerful country which thrives in all aspects is not achieved by the devoted efforts of only some people or by a leap forward of only a few sectors.

The foundations of prosperity are laid when all the people, masters of the country, create structures one by one, amply demonstrating the power of development peculiar to them with fervent passion and dynamic struggle. 

Last year the agricultural sector carried out the grain production plan at 107 percent by widely introducing scientific farming methods and further consolidated the material foundations of agricultural production by completing the second-stage irrigation construction and restoration project.

At the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea General Secretary Kim Jong Un said that the task facing the agricultural sector in 2025 is to attain the grain production goal set by the WPK and lay the foundations for decisively increasing the agricultural output during the period of the new long-term plan.

He assigned tasks and ways in detail to put the country’s agricultural production on the track of stable and sustainable development, including those of building up the material and technical foundations of the agricultural sector, attaching importance to scientific farming and training the ranks of talents who will shoulder the implementation of the rural revolution programme in the new era and large numbers of performers who will transform the socialist rural communities in a systematic way.

It is a gatehouse facing due south of the fortress of Kapsan township.

The Kapju manhobu (a kind of military administrative unit) was set up in the closing years of the Koryo dynasty (918-1392) in the area of Kapsan, which had previously been called Hochonbu. In 1393, there appeared the fortress.

According to historical records, the fortress had such gatehouses as Jinbuk, Puksung, Yangsang and Hapku and such pavilions as Jongwon, Irak, Yongbo and Suhang, and Jinbuk Gatehouse was the most magnificent among them.
