Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un receives Russian Minister of Defence

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, met on November 29 Minister of Defence Andrei Beloussov, who is on a visit to the DPRK leading a military delegation of the Russian Federation.

Kim Jong Un gladly greeted Beloussov, who visited Pyongyang again after five months, and had friendly and trustworthy talks with him.

Beloussov courteously conveyed the friendly greetings from Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to Kim Jong Un.

Kim Jong Un expressed deep thanks for this, and asked him to convey his warm comradely greetings to the respected Vladimir Putin.

During the talks, there was a wide-ranging exchange of views on the issues of further developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, including the defence field, and defending sovereignty, security and interests of the two countries and international justice in the face of the rapidly-changing regional and international security environment, and a satisfactory consensus of views was reached.

Talks between defence ministers of DPRK and Russia held

There took place talks between No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Andrei Beloussov, minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, in Pyongyang on November 29.

At the talks No Kwang Chol appreciated that the exchanges and cooperation between the defence ministries of the two countries have been dynamically promoted through mutual visits of high-level delegations since the historic June 2024 DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit, and expressed belief that the current Pyongyang visit by the military delegation of the Russian Federation would serve as an important occasion for promoting the friendship, mutual cooperation and development of relations between the armies of the two countries.

Beloussov expressed the willingness to further expand the mutually beneficial cooperation under the complicated international situation, referring to the fact that the treaty on the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries plays a stabilizer's role in the Northeast Asian region.

Military delegation of Russian Federation arrives in Pyongyang

A military delegation of the Russian Federation led by Minister of Defence Andrei Beloussov arrived in Pyongyang on November 29 to visit the DPRK at the invitation of the DPRK Ministry of National Defence.

The flags of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation were fluttering at the flagstaffs at Pyongyang International Airport, and the guard of honour of the Korean People's Army (KPA) lined up at the apron before the terminal.

The delegation were greeted by No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the DPRK, Jong Kyong Thaek, director of the KPA General Political Bureau, other commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence, officials concerned, KPA officers and men, Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.

Seminar on respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's work held

A seminar took place at the Hall of Women in Pyongyang on November 28 to mark the first anniversary of the publication of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's famous work "On Duty of Mothers for Their Families and Society".

Present there were officials of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea and its members in Pyongyang.

Presented at the seminar were papers explaining and proving the validity and vitality of the idea and theory set forth in the work and the ways for implementing the important tasks.

Officials in field of preservation of revolutionary relics start study tour of revolutionary battle sites in Mt Paektu area

Officials in the field of the preservation of revolutionary relics from across the DPRK held a meeting at the plaza before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the Samjiyon Grand Monument on November 28 to start a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

The participants laid a flower basket and bouquets before the statue of the President and paid tribute to him.

Ri Thae Jin, director of the Revolutionary Relics Administration Guidance Bureau, made a speech at the meeting.

Farmers of Kuso and Songil farms in Pyongyang move into new houses

Cosy modern houses have been built at the Kuso Farm of the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee and at the Songil Farm in Sunan District of Pyongyang.

Present at the ceremony for moving into new houses were Ri Myong Chol, secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and officials of the Party and power organs, builders and agricultural workers in Sunan District.

Hong Hyon, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee, made a congratulatory speech. And then licences for the use of houses were conveyed.

Russia asserts US is isolated internationally

The first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the United Nations censured the US for vetoing the resolution of the UN Security Council demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip of Palestine on November 25.

An overwhelming majority of UN member nations including the countries in the Middle East and the members of the UNSC do not express sympathy with the US’ attitude, he said, noting that the US is in complete international isolation.

He stressed Russia would keep advocating the most resolute measure for putting an end to the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip.

Donated tractors conveyed to South Hwanghae Province

Trade union organizations across the DPRK prepared tractors by promoting various do-good-thing movements.

A ceremony took place at Haeju Square on November 27 to convey “Jingmaeng (trade union)” tractors to South Hwanghae Province.

Present there were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Thae Dok, chief secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials concerned, trade union officials and workers and trade union members in the province.

Fertilizer output increases at Namhung Youth Chemical Complex

The workers at the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex are increasing fertilizer production by more than 100 tons every day, regarding science and technology as a powerful weapon for the development of their unit.

Over 160 technical innovation plans have been introduced to bring about a surge in fertilizer production this year.

Officials and working people of the complex continue to achieve successes in the production of Juche fertilizer.  

Telemedicine system further improves in DPRK

The telemedicine system has further improved in the public health sector of the DPRK.

Hundreds of IT machines of over a dozen kinds were added to all the provincial general hospitals in the country to better the system for operation through videoconferencing.

A project was also been undertaken to ensure the normal operation of the telemedicine system so that central-level hospitals would be able to give assistance to medical treatment at all the regional hospitals.
