Officials of the youth league from across the country toured the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

They visited the Samjiyon Grand Monument to lay a flower basket and bouquets at the statue of President Kim Il Sung and pay tribute to him.

They went round various places of the grand monument including the subsidiary-theme group sculptures and the shore of Lake Samji.

The General Association of Koreans in China held events to celebrate the 83rd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

On February 15, officials and members of the GAKC, the Association of Korean Women in China and the Jilin City branch of the Jilin Regional Association under the GAKC and the family of Hwang Paek Ha, a Korean in China related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and the family of a former vice chairperson of the Jilin Regional Association laid flower baskets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin and paid tribute to him.

Baskets of flowers in the name of the GAKC, the Zhongnan Regional Association of the GAKC and the Dandong City branch of the Liaoning Regional Association of the GAKC were placed before the portraits and pictures of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il at the DPRK embassy in Beijing and DPRK missions in Shenyang and Dandong on February 16.

A national seminar on the theme of "Self-reliance is indispensable in defending national sovereignty and building socialism" took place in New Delhi on February 13 on the occasion of the 83rd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present there were the director general and the secretary general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea, the secretary general of the Indian Society for Juche Idea-Self-Reliance Studies and members of Juche idea study organizations and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.

A research finding has been announced that the flight of airplanes is getting more dangerous due to the space debris floating around the earth.

A foreign science magazine recently said that the uncontrolled re-entry of space debris into the earth’s atmosphere involves the danger of colliding with aircraft in flight and the result will be fatal, adding that the danger is getting greater as both the re-entry of space debris and the flight of aircraft increase.

Space debris comes from all objects that humans launched into outer space including artificial earth satellite and it falls into the atmosphere with the passage of time. Most of the debris burns to be minute particles.

Being briefed on the historic relics preserved with much care at his old home, they looked back upon the immortal revolutionary exploits of the President who devoted all his life to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people and put his heart and soul into developing Chongryon.
