The more difficult the country’s situation gets, the more sincere efforts the DPRK puts in for children and the more vigorously it advances towards the future on the strength of love.

Since the birth of a new Korea, the DPRK has always given top priority to work related to children.

One of the major agenda items discussed at the first meeting of its power organ was the issue of pencils for children, and it was the textbooks for children that were transported before munitions even in the flames of the Fatherland Liberation War.

The production of school uniforms, footwear and bags for new pupils and students at the primary schools, junior middle schools, colleges and universities across the DPRK was successfully finished and they have been supplied with the approach of the new school year, giving pleasure to their parents and other people.

Officials of the Ministry of Commerce and relevant units including every provincial people's committee displayed their high sense of responsibility to ensure that the products associated with the sincere efforts of makers are supplied to all pupils and students.

The poster carries letters reading "The Ninth April Spring People's Art Festival" and the emblem of the festival and its period.

 It shows the names of categories of the festival against the background of President Kim Il Sung's birthplace at Mangyongdae and the azaleas in full bloom. It reflects the noble loyalty of all the people to significantly celebrate as a grand auspicious event of the whole country the day of great national fortune when the Korean people greeted for the first time in the nation's history of thousands of years. 

Ri Se Ung of the DPRK won a gold medal at the 2025 Asian Wrestling Championship.

The championship which is going on in Amman of Jordan has drawn over 360 excellent men and women wrestlers from more than 20 countries and regions including the DPRK, Mongolia and Kazakhstan.

Ri overpowered all the rivals in the 60kg category of Greco-Roman wrestling on March 26 (local time) and advanced to the final match.

As spring has set in, many people have buckled down to the cultivation of flowering plants. Among them is Kim Sun Hui living in neighbourhood unit No. 3 of Ryomyong-dong in Taesong District, Pyongyang.

Nearing 70 years of age, she grows over a dozen species of ornamental plants in nearly 50 flower pots at home. 

Most of them are foliage plants with high ornamental value and air-purification capacity.

But in capitalist society where “prosperity” and “civilization” are advertised, it is only an unrealistic dream for ordinary working people to have their own home. They only suffer hardship as even basic living conditions are not provided for them.

Shortly ago, the tents in downtown Washington, the US, which had been used by homeless people, were removed for the reason that they were “ugly”.

The Japanese authorities’ national chauvinism is well known to the world.

This can be proved by the fact that they recently excluded Korean schools from the objects of the “tuition-free programmes for senior high schools”.

The Japan-Korea solidarity national network, a civic organization, and Wada Haruki, emeritus professor at Tokyo University, and other progressive intellectuals in Japan denounced the Japanese authorities’ inhumane policy of excluding Korean schools from the objects of the “tuition-free programmes for senior high schools”, saying that the students of Korean schools have suffered discrimination in the Japanese government's educational policy, though they are infallible in relation to political issues.

A spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry in a routine news briefing on March 25 exposed that the US has perpetrated large-scale network attacks, wiretapping and secret stealing against mobile communications terminals and their operating enterprises for a long time on a worldwide scale.

The US pre-installed dishonest devices in information facilities around the world in cooperation with internet giants and equipment suppliers and used them for its network attacks, he said, adding that, however, the US has been accustomed to acting like a thief raising a hue and cry for several years.

China strongly urges the US to immediately stop such vicious acts and explain them to the world from a responsible standpoint, he stressed.
