Baskets of flowers were sent to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang by the Board of Directors of the International Martial Arts Foundation, the Irkutsk LTK Group Co. Ltd. of Russia and the family of Zhang Weihua, a Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the demise of the President.

The flower baskets were laid before the statues of the great leaders on July 5. 

A symposium of social scientists took place on July 5 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.

The symposium heard papers explaining and proving the immortal revolutionary exploits of the President who devoted his whole life to the sacred cause for the eternal prosperity of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the revolution with his rare ideological and theoretical wisdom and outstanding leadership.

Speakers said that the President was an outstanding thinker and theoretician as he founded the Juche idea and provided a sure guarantee for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.

Youth and students met at the Central Youth Hall in Pyongyang on July 5 to tell stories about noble virtues of President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his demise.

Present there were Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league and youth and students in Pyongyang.

The performers referred to the noble revolutionary career and immortal exploits of the President who devoted his all to the prosperity of the socialist country and happiness of all generations to come.

Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) met in Oguk-ri, Anak County of South Hwanghae Province, on July 5 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, Pak Thae Sop, secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers in Anak County.

At the meeting, speakers praised the immortal revolutionary career and exploits of the President who made untiring efforts for the development of the country's agriculture, walking along the long and rugged roads between farm fields till the last moments of his life.

The world’s progressives pay the highest tribute and glory to President Kim Il Sung, recalling the revolutionary exploits he had performed to glorify the 20th century as a century of independence with his profound ideas and theories and extraordinary leadership ability.

The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus said that Comrade Kim Il Sung was the prominent leader of the 20th century and a veteran statesman in the world, adding that he performed undying exploits for the country and people, the times and mankind through his great revolutionary practice.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), the secretary general of the Lebanese Federation of Workers and the chairman of the Communist Party in Denmark praised the exploits of the President, who embarked on the road of revolution in his early years to stage a bloody anti-Japanese war and built the DPRK into the country of Juche, going along an untrodden path of nation-building, braving the flames of the Fatherland Liberation War and following the arduous course of postwar reconstruction.

New houses have been built at the Unsol Farm and the Sadong Farm in Ragwon County, South Hamgyong Province.

Present at the ceremony for moving into those houses held on the spot were Om Pong Guk, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials, builders and agricultural workers who would move into new houses in the county.

Kim Song Gyu, vice-chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, made a congratulatory address and licences for the use of the houses were handed over.

The Seventh Memory Contest of University Students in Teacher Training Sector took place at Kim Hyong Jik University of Education from July 2 to 5.

The contest brought together more than 120 students selected from across the country.

It was divided into 10 events including memory of binaries, memory of speed numbers and memory of random words. The participants fully displayed the abilities of them who are preparing themselves to be competent teachers under the care of the motherly Workers’ Party of Korea.

The Taehwa Palace site in Ryongchu-dong No. 2 of Ryongsong District in Pyongyang is one of the royal palace buildings from the Koryo period (918-1392).

The heritage site is largely divided into two palace sections.

Many building sites, tiles, bricks and other building parts and elements, earthenware and ironware dating back to the Koryo period have been unearthed there.
