The policy section chief of the Institute for Japan Studies under the DPRK Foreign Ministry on March 20 issued the following press statement titled "Japan's reckless possession of preemptive attack capability will only expose the archipelago as a common target of regional countries":

The geopolitical crises caused by the US are increasing the danger of the outbreak of a new great war in different parts of the world. Against this backdrop, Japan, obsessed with the ambition for overseas expansion, has further accelerated its militarist moves, attracting the attention of the world public.

Kim Mi Rae and Jo Jin Mi are among the top ten players of the DPRK in 2024. They finished runners-up in the women's 10m platform synchronized diving and Kim Mi Rae also came third in the women's 10m platform diving in the 33rd Olympic Games held last year.

As a result, they became the first Olympic medalists in diving in the DPRK.

The UN General Assembly held in 2012 designated March 21 as International Day of Forests.

It is aimed at deepening many people’s understanding of the importance of forests as indispensable and valuable wealth in the protection of natural environment, human life and socio-economic development.

Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian president, derided the EU countries for acting under the baton of the US in an interview with a journalist of the All-Russia State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company on March 15.

Answering the journalist on the reason why the EU is appealing for peace these days, he said that the European countries have changed their rhetoric because they cling to the legs of the US president like pet puppies.

He said that President Vladimir Putin had already said that they would behave like that.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China denounced G7’s double standard-based behaviour at a press conference on March 17.

Shortly ago, G7 made a fuss about a China-related agenda item and tried to find fault with the Taiwan issue and others again in a joint statement and declaration issued at its foreign ministers’ meeting. As to this, the spokesman said that those documents turned black into white to slander and denigrate China and interfere in its internal affairs.

It is clear evidence of double standards that G7 made China alone a subject of discussion, never mentioning the risk of nuclear proliferation by the US, the UK and Australia, he asserted.

A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry on May 17 condemned the US’ step for nuclear negotiations as deceptive behaviour.

The US’ words and actions do not correspond, he said, adding that the US authorities are sending a contradictory signal that they are ready for negotiations while imposing new sanctions on the Iranian economy.

Stressing that in diplomatic negotiations it is customary for one side to recognize the interests of the other and, more importantly, for both sides to trust each other in implementing the commitments, he said that the US, however, does not respect this but uses the possibility of negotiations as a means of propaganda or political tool.

The US launched a large-scale military attack on the resistance force of Yemen.

 Saying that the Yemeni resistance force is committing piracy, violence and terrorism, the US president ordered the military on March 15 to take a decisive and powerful military action.

 The US forces made dozens of air raids on the capital and different other areas of Yemen that night and carried out indiscriminate air raids on a port city and elsewhere on March 17 again.
