China launched a remote sensing satellite on November 15. 

Carried by a Long March-4C carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre, the satellite was sent up into the designated orbit.

The satellite will mainly be used to survey territory, work out urban planning, design road networks, assess the estimated yield of agricultural crops and prevent and reduce disasters.
