Iran, Russia and China launch joint maritime drill
March 21, 2023A joint maritime drill of Iran, Russia and China started at an Iranian port situated in the waters of the Arabian Sea on March 15.
The drill, codenamed “Maritime safety zone-2023”, brought together Iranian and Russian navies and that of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army which brought with them frigates, guided missile destroyers and other vessels.
It is reportedly aimed at boosting practical cooperation among the navies of the three countries and jointly defending maritime safety.
