Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Russia from March 20 to 22.

During the visit to Russia, he had talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin respectively.

At the talks they referred to achievements made in China-Russia relations for the past decade, discussed issues on developing comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership between the two countries and expanding and developing cooperation in the economy, trade, industry, agriculture and other sectors and exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual concern. 

At the end of the talks they adopted joint statements on strengthening comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership in the new era between the two countries and on a plan for developing major fields of China-Russia economic cooperation by 2030.

In the joint statements both sides called for giving up the attempts to intensify and drag out disputes and respecting legal concern of all countries in the field of security and opposed enforcement of unilateral sanctions.

They also called on NATO to strictly perform its duty as a regional and defence organization and expressed serious concern over danger to be caused by AUKUS.
