Chinese embassy in Pyongyang hosts reception to mark PRC anniversary

The Chinese embassy in the DPRK hosted a reception on September 28 on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Present there at invitation were Kang Yun Sok, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Mun Song Hyok, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials concerned, foreign diplomatic envoys and staff members of foreign embassies in the DPRK.

Present at the event were Ambassador Wang Yajun and staff members of the Chinese embassy in Pyongyang and Chinese guests staying in the country.

Wang Yajun made a speech at the banquet.

Describing the traditional China-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations as the precious common wealth, he said that it is the steadfast policy of the Chinese party and government to successfully defend, consolidate and develop the bilateral ties.

Kang Yun Sok delivered a speech next.

He expressed the will to work together with the Chinese comrades to strengthen and develop the traditional DPRK-China friendly relations in conformity with the noble intention of the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries and the common desire of the peoples of the two countries in the future, too.
