National games of students of schools for orphans held

The national games of students of schools for orphans-2023 took place in Phyongsong between June 4 and 9.
Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Ri Song Bom, chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial People’s Committee, and relevant officials saw the sports competition together with students of those schools.
More than 400 students selected from primary and middle schools for orphans participated in the games to compete in such events as football, basketball, volleyball and athletics.
Pyongyang municipal and South Phyongan provincial teams played volleyball and basketball final matches at the gymnasiums of Phyongsong primary and middle schools for orphans amid enthusiastic cheering.
South Phyongan Province topped the total rankings, followed by Pyongyang Municipality and Kangwon Province.
Trophies, medals and relevant prizes were awarded to excellent units and players.
