The DPRK national championships came to an end.

Male and female players from different sports clubs including the April 25, Amnokgang, Amnokgang Defence and Chollima Steel Complex established new national records in track and field, weightlifting, shooting and archery in the championships which started on September 12.

Those from the April 25 Sports Club won the basketball tournament, while those from the Pyongyang Sports Club topped the rankings respectively.

A closing ceremony took place at the Basketball Gymnasium on Chongchun Street in Pyongyang on October 7.

Present there were officials concerned, sportspeople and Pyongyang citizens.

Medals of new record were given to those who set new national records in the championships, and organizations and players who achieved good records and displayed high techniques and physical abilities were awarded trophies, medals and diplomas.

Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, made a closing address.
