The final matches of the National Inter-provincial Games-2023 and the closing ceremony of the 2023 spring national sports festival took place at Kim Il Sung Stadium in Pyongyang on April 28.
The closing ceremony was attended by Pak Jong Gun, vice-premier who doubles as the vice-chairman of the State Sports Guidance Commission, members of the SSGC, officials concerned, sportspersons, participants in the national inter-provincial games and Pyongyang citizens.
There were final matches of the inter-provincial games before the closing ceremony of the festival.
At the ceremony, a rotating trophy and new record medals were awarded to the teams, players and clubs that obtained good results in the festival, along with relevant prizes.
In the festival, the April 25 team lifted the rotating trophy by winning the men’s football and women’s volleyball events and more than 20 players broke national records in athletics, weightlifting, shooting and other events.
At the National Inter-provincial Games-2023, Pyongyang Municipality topped the total rankings to win a rotating trophy, and North Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces came second and third respectively.
