Children’s football games openMay 14, 2023
The 8th national children’s football games have kicked off.
During the event held on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Children’s Union, men’s and women’s football teams that qualified in the provincial preliminaries after city and county games will play group league matches and semi-finals and then the final match at the Songdowon International Children’s Camp.
The opening ceremony was held at Sariwon Youth Stadium on May 11.
It was attended by Pak Chang Ho, chief secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, youth league officials and students and children.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, delivered an opening address.
The flag symbolizing the games was hoisted, followed by a march-past of players.
Then, there was a men’s football match between North Hwanghae and Kangwon provinces.
