The national martial art championships of the 2023 spring national sports festival came to a close on April 24.
The championships which kicked off at the Taekwon-Do Hall and the Taekwon-Do Holy House on April 20 were a showcase for great physical and technical abilities of the players.
Pyongyang Municipality came first in the total rankings, and Kangwon and South Hwanghae provinces took the second and third places respectively.
The Pyongyang Municipal Taekwon-Do Team won the first place in the Taekwon-Do event, with the South Hwanghae and Jagang provincial teams coming second and third respectively.
In the paduk event, the paduk team of the Pyongyang Municipal Paduk Centre won the trophy, and those from North Hamgyong and North Phyongan provincial paduk centres finished runner-up and was placed third respectively.
Trophies, medals and diplomas were awarded to the teams and players who proved successful and displayed high techniques and good sportsmanship.
