The 2022-2023 DPRK women’s premier league started on December 1 amid high expectations and interest of soccer experts and fans.

The contest involving such teams as the April 25, Amnokgang, Naegohyang, Pyongyang and Wolmido is to be held in three rounds.

That day, the first-round match played between the Pyongyang and Naegohyang teams at Kim Il Sung Stadium ended in a goalless draw and the Myohyangsan beat the Rimyongsu 2-1 in another match.
