Public struggle to oust traitor Yoon Suk Yeol widespread in south Korea

July 12, 2023

The intensity of the public struggle across the region of the puppets is getting stronger to oust traitor Yoon Suk Yeol siding with Japan seeking to inflict a nuclear disaster on all humankind.

The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), in particular, issued a stupid report that Japan's planned discharge of nuclear waste water at sea is "in conformity with international standards" and "the radioactive effect on human body and environment is insignificant." This sparked off the anger of people from all walks of life.

On July 7, the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and other civil society organizations staged a protest outside Kimpho Airport, holding slogans reading "IAEA, abolish the report tailored to the sake of Japan" and shouting "We oppose dumping of radioactive-contaminated water into sea" and "Leave this land at once."

The Progressive Federation of Students held a press conference outside the Japanese embassy in Seoul, at which it said that discharge of nuclear waste water would never come true.

On July 8, the joint action for checking Japan's discharge of radioactive-contaminated water at sea and other civil society organizations held a rally around the building of the puppet government before staging a demonstration march toward the Japanese embassy, voicing objection to Japan's plan.

The KCTU issued a statement appealing to workers to turn out in the struggle for disrupting Japan's plan.

That day the 47th candlelight rally and demonstration were held in Seoul on the theme of "Let's impeach Yoon Suk Yeol, a stooge of nuclear terrorism," who actively patronizes Japan's move as its stooge.

Part-time workers' organizations joined the struggle to force traitor Yoon Suk Yeol to step down in Seoul on July 8.

The participants held a rally on the theme of "Unbroken mind! For part-time-job-free world!" and condemned the Yoon regime for labeling workers as potential criminals under uplifted slogan-boards such as "Yoon Suk Yeol, step down!"

The Government Employees' Union held a rally in Seoul under the slogan "Let us stand up against the immoral regime, instead of being a servant of the regime!"

At the rally attended by more than 20 000 people, speakers called for uniting and fighting for justice, saying that they could never defend their right to existence without punishing the Yoon Suk Yeol regime.

Meanwhile, people from all walks of life held meetings in Seoul on July 6 to denounce the Yoon-led puppet group for their treacherous acts and express their will to wage a struggle for ousting traitor Yoon.

Thousands of people used 12 ships to stage a marine demonstration at Jongju Port of Jeju Island in protest against the Yoon-led group of traitors who supported Japan's move to dump nuclear waste water into the sea.

Speakers at a press conference held earlier stated that if Japan discharges the nuclear waste water at sea, the waters around Jeju Island will be polluted to endanger the life of the islanders existing on marine products.
