There was a grand performance in celebration of the New Year 2023 at May Day Stadium in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK, at night of December 31.
The stadium was crowded with the audience who gathered to see the grand significant performance for celebrating the New Year.

Taking the auditorium were Kim Tok Hun, Jo Yong Won, Choe Ryong Hae and Ri Pyong Chol, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, and senior Party and government officials and commanding officers of the armed forces organs.
The performance was also enjoyed by the participants in the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK and the Ninth Congress of the Korean Children's Union and citizens of the capital city.
A solemn ceremony of hoisting the national flag of the DPRK was held amid the soaring patriotic enthusiasm of the people to hold up their great country for all ages.
The audience paid a high tribute to the sacred national flag flying high despite all storms of history, reflecting the invincible might of the country and all miracles and victories on this land.
Put on the stage were songs highly praising the motherly Party and famous songs and dances in the era of the Workers' Party.
Artistes of such prestigious art groups as the State Merited Chorus and Wangjaesan and Mansudae art troupes and students of art education institutions in the city brilliantly decorated the last night of the old year with an original and beautiful artistic portrayal in the performance.
