Agricultural workers meet to celebrate anniversary of birth of Chairman Kim Jong Il

Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea held a celebratory meeting at the hall of culture of Migok-ri, Sariwon, North Hwanghae Province, on February 14 to mark the 81st anniversary of the birth of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

It was attended by Min Sung Chol, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Ri Il Hyok, secretary of the Party committee of North Hwanghae Province, officials of relevant sectors and the UAWK and agricultural workers. 

At the meeting Ri Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, made a keynote speech, followed by other speakers. 

They described the birth of the Chairman on Mt Paektu, the sacred mountain of the revolution, as a great fortune of the Korean nation which promised a rosy future of Juche Korea and an event of great significance in the world history which offered bright prospects for the cause of independence for humankind.

They also referred with excitement to the energetic leadership of the peerlessly great man who had guided the UAWK step by step in every period and at every stage of the developing revolution to fulfil its mission and responsibility at the outpost for the socialist rural construction and improvement of the people’s living standards.

They stressed that his immortal revolutionary career and exploits shine more brilliantly under the outstanding leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, another great man born of heaven.
