Working people’s organizations vow to implement Party decisions

Working people’s organizations held rallies for the thorough implementation of the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea on January 11.

The events were attended by Ri Tu Song, department director of the WPK Central Committee, relevant officials including those of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea, industrial and agricultural workers and members of those organizations.

At the meeting of workers and trade union members, the speakers enthusiastically appealed to the working class of the whole country to wage a vigorous struggle to attain the major goals for national economic development by displaying the fighting spirit of self-reliance and fortitude, true to the decisions of the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee.

At the gathering of agricultural workers and UAWK members, the speakers called for buckling down to the implementation of the Party’s programme on rural revolution with a firm resolution never to forget their mission assigned by the Party and revolution so as to achieve the agricultural production targets without fail, thereby making a positive contribution to achieving remarkable progress in improving the people’s standard of living and speeding up national prosperity and development this year.

At the event of the women’s union officials and members, the speakers expressed their resolve to give full play to the revolutionary stamina of Korean women in the ongoing struggle for bringing about national rejuvenation and development on the great strength of loyalty and patriotism, rallying more firmly around the Party Central Committee.

A letter of pledge to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at each event.
