Wreaths laid at Friendship TowerOctober 27, 2022
Wreaths were laid at the Friendship Tower in Pyongyang on October 25, the 72nd anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) into the Korean front.
Attending the wreath-laying ceremony were Kang Yun Sok, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, Mun Song Hyok, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Army Lieutenant-General Kim Min Sop, vice-minister of National Defence, Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim In Chol, vice-minister of Public Security, officials concerned and Pyongyang citizens.
Also present were Sun Hongliang, charge d'affaires ad Interim, and officials of the Chinese embassy in Pyongyang and Chinese guests and residents in the DPRK.
On the same day, wreaths were also placed at the cemeteries and graves of fallen CPV fighters in Hyongjesan District of Pyongyang, Anju City and Hoechang County of South Phyongan Province, Onsong County of North Hamgyong Province, and Kaesong City.
Meanwhile, officials of the Chinese embassy laid flower baskets, bouquets and flowers at the CPV martyrs' graves in Sariwon City of North Hwanghae Province.
