An enlarged meeting of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea was held by way of videoconferencing on February 1.

It was attended by members and alternate members of the UAWK Central Committee.

Present there as observers were officials of the UAWK committees in Pyongyang and local areas.

The meeting discussed such issues as of thoroughly implementing the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Yun Chol, vice-chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, delivered a report in which he referred to the successes officials and members of the UAWK achieved in the struggle to open up a new phase of national development by turning out in implementing decisions of the fourth and fifth plenary meetings of the WPK Central Committee and making strenuous efforts, and pointed to the need for the UAWK to fulfil its mission and role as the pathfinder and vanguard  in the efforts to carry out the Party’s  programme of the rural revolution in the new era.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

It adopted a relevant decision based on the study of its draft.
