The title of Labour Hero of the DPRK was awarded to Kim Ki Ryong, chairman of the Central Broadcasting Committee of Korea, and Ri Chun Hi, chief broadcaster of the committee, on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the DPRK. An awarding ceremony was held on Tuesday, which was attended by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly. After a decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly was conveyed, they were awarded the title along with Gold Medal (Hammer and Sickle) and Order of the National Flag 1st Class.
