A new terrapin production base has been added to the Myongchon breed catfish farm.

Former 10-odd outdoor loach ponds have been remodelled to meet the physiological characteristics of terrapins. Thus they have been turned into a greenhouse-type terrapin block that can use solar heat to the maximum. 

The indoor terrapin block, which was built to raise terrapins by stages, is quipped with a temperature and humidity control device to breed terrapins in all seasons.
