The far-reaching strategy of the Korean revolution and its ultimate victory lie in advancing straight along the road of independence, the road of socialism indicated by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Over the past 10-odd years, the Korean people have invariably followed the road of victory under the uplifted banner of independence and socialism.

Despite the painful loss of the father of the nation and the vicious offensive of the hostile forces reaching the extremes, which entailed harsh trials and difficulties, the Korean people have invariably moved on along the road of independence and socialism without any slightest vacillation or political upheaval. This is unthinkable apart from the outstanding leadership ability and tireless efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

He formulated the road of independence, the road of socialism, as the far-reaching strategy of the Korean revolution at the beginning of the new century of the Juche era, and instilled the spirit of national self-respect into the people.

At the third and fifth plenary meetings of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and other important Party meetings, he declared that our descendants got to have a sure guarantee for enjoying the most dignified and happiest life in the world and clarified the Korean people’s firm will that they can never sell their dignity which they have so far defended as valuable as their own life, in the hope of gorgeous transformation. 

Afterwards, he gave precious instructions that national self-respect is our lifeblood and the basic cornerstone and foundation of the Korean revolution.

This has served as the strength and spirit of the DPRK and the Korean people have dashed toward a new era of prosperity by dint of self-reliance, regarding the self-development-first principle provided by Kim Jong Un as an almighty treasured sword.

In the course of this, DPRK-made airplanes flew through the sky and homemade subway trains ran under the ground.

Not only the news of thriving streets symbolic of socialism built in Pyongyang and new houses in all parts of the country but also such amazing achievements as a sea of farm machines in South Hwanghae Province that surprised and delighted the people are the precious fruition of the spirit of self-development.

General Secretary Kim Jong Un glorified the Korean people as the people who embody the spirit of self-reliance and self-development as well as the independent faith that they would never yield even if the sky falls, and the DPRK as the country of independence. Herein lie his undying exploits.

Socialism, which advances under the banner of independence and defends the dignity of the people and realizes their dreams and ideals with the invincible arms, is the Korean people’s precious home that cannot and should never be lost, before it is an ideal.

Kim Jong Un put forward the people-first politics as the fundamental issue and basic political mode decisive of the success and failure of socialism and consistently applied it, thus strengthening the might of Korean-style socialism in every way.

Thanks to his great and painstaking efforts to make the socialist policies produce greater benefits by thoroughly establishing the atmosphere of giving top priority and absolute importance to the interests of the people in all fields of the activities of the Party and the state, many successes have been achieved in the fields directly related to the improvement of the people’s living standards, especially in the fields of housing, education and public health.

It is the faith and will the Korean people have fostered over the past decade that the road of independence and socialism advancing under the leadership of Kim Jong Un is the road of eternal victory and glory and that they will surely build a socialist paradise under his leadership.
