Quality of education improves at public health vocational schools

True to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea, which set this year as the first year of the public health revolution, public health vocational schools across the country are putting efforts into improving the quality of education.

Pyongyang Municipal Public Health Vocational School incorporates in the teaching contents the data on achievements made in medical practice with emphasis on helping students acquire the ability to nurse and treat patients independently and actively.

South Phyongan Provincial Public Health Vocational School frequently organizes demonstration lectures and symposiums on teaching methods and applies heuristic and search- and debate-type teaching methods. And South Hamgyong Provincial Vocational School makes positive efforts to improve the abilities of lecturers and students through the organization of teaching and academic contests while inventing and introducing efficient and advantageous teaching methods.

Kangwon Provincial Public Health Vocational School organizes discussions on lectures on a regular basis while making sure that lecturers give effective guidance to students over practical training and extracurricular study.

The work to improve the teaching qualifications of lecturers is gaining momentum also at North Phyongan and North Hamgyong provincial public health vocational school.

Vocational education training school under the Ministry of Public Health is pushing ahead with the work to introduce and generalize excellent teaching methods in every provincial public health vocational school and nurse training classes of city and county hospitals.
