What visitors say
October 8, 2024I am satisfied that the national plants exhibition, “Plants in the DPRK-2024”, is going on.
The enthusiasm of participating units is high and the number of visitors is also high.
Plants play a big role in protecting the environment and sprucing up the workplace and living environment in a more cultured way. Recently, the demand for putting landscaping on a scientific basis at a higher level keeps growing.
I think that the exhibition will satisfy such social needs and serve public interests.
Hwang Kwang Nam, section chief of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection
We have presented various plants including diamond bluebell, an indigenous plant of our region.
The diamond bluebell frequently comes in old tales together with Mt Kumgang, a celebrated mountain. Every visitor is expressing admiration for its beauty and peculiarity, saying that it is the first time to see the plant though they were familiar with that. Whenever I see their appearance, I feel pride in my native place.
The diamond bluebell community around Manphok Valley of Inner Kumgang, valley of Piro Peak and Outer Kumgang in Mt Kumgang was designated as a natural monument to be under good protection.
I would like to express thanks for the institutional and material measures that make it possible to value and protect everything on this land.
Myong Su Il, deputy director of the forest science institute of Kangwon Province
Looking round the venue of the exhibition, I am surprised to see rich flora.
Our country is likened to a golden tapestry as it has many species of beautiful and rare plants.
A flower lover, I’m growing many species of plants in my family. Having a talk with other visitors, I rethink about flowers once again.
Flowers are not merely beautiful ones, but precious ones that contribute to cultivating the beauty of this land and the civilized life of the people.
I’m determined to decorate not only my family but also villages and workplaces with flowering plants.
